Tzedakah Fund of Givat Shaul & Kiryat Moshe

Our Work

The Tzedakah Fund of Givat Shaul and Kiryat Moshe in Jerusalem provides assistance to needy families of the neighborhood who are crying out for help, throughout the year in general and before holidays and special occasions in particular.

Assistance to hundreds of families living below the poverty line who need real, substantial help. Every week over 200 volunteers - the important people of the neighborhood - take time out during the busy hours of Erev Shabbat to raise donations for Kupat Hashchuna's extensive chesed activity, and thank G-d their efforts bear fruit.

Kupat Hashchuna helps over one hundred families every week, and before holidays about four hundred families receive substantial support.

250hot, nourishing meals for new mothers and the sick every week

How We Help

Emotional Support

When a father or mother struggling with a mental health issue functions less at home, the children are neglected and the home falls apart - it is our duty and privilege to be the messengers who help them and get them back on their feet

Help for New Mothers

Kupat Hashchuna is first aid. Not only in times of hardship, but also at the joyous time of a growing family. Sometimes they need help and support - Kupat Hashchuna is the first address

Medical Assistance

Kupat Hashchuna was there first, already at the moment of the difficult news. To support, arrange, give and hold together whatever is possible around them so that coping will be easier

Funding Mentors

Help given every month to dozens of needy families, funding mentors for their children so they grow up like their peers, in Torah and fear of Heaven, without lacking anything

Single-Parent Families

Kupat Hashchuna does everything in its power so that no family goes hungry. Help with food and clothing, education and rent - as much as possible

Financial Assistance

We don't have the ability to turn the wheel, but we can provide what they lack in their difficult hour

Funds

Kupat Hashchuna manages dozens of funds for families in the neighborhood. Orphans, weddings, medical help, financial rescue, etc.

Partnering with Funds

On holidays and throughout the year, Kupat Hashchuna receives assistance from a variety of important funds to support the neighborhood's poor
